Role Overview

The incumbent of the role will be responsible for effectively administering and processing approved death benefit claims which arise on funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ongoing processing of all 37C death claims which includes conducting thorough investigations into the affairs of the deceased and drawing up draft resolutions for trustees’ approval.
  • Provide an excellent and professional service to all clients.
  • Gain an understanding of the company’s Everest system with regards to Fund processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies in order to achieve deadlines.
  • Process the death claims from inception to completion.
  • Maintain comprehensive registers of claims in progress.

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate

Experience

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in the pension’s administration environment

Skills Required

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience conducting 37C investigations and drawing up of 37C resolutions
  • Experience on Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Experience on Everest would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Must speak some African languages
  • Professional and self-driven approach
  • Strong team-working skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure
